Building Hope
Building Hope is a faith-based, non-profit, youth and family development organization that has been serving our community since 2001. Our mission statement is “touching lives, teaching skills, and transforming communities by providing hope and a clear vision for future generations.” We do this through a variety of programs including an alternative to suspension program, afterschool programs, summer camp, mentoring programs, parent programs, and service Saturdays.

Pitt County Young Life
Pitt County Young Life began in Pitt County in 1992. Our mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. We engage students in some of Pitt County’s middle & high schools, meeting them where they are to build relationships. We also have ministries for young moms through YoungLives, at ECU/Pitt Community College for college students, and for our friends with special needs through our Capernaum ministry.

The Community Co-op is a holistic food distribution program that provides healthy food and grocery savings, education, mentoring and accountability to families seeking financial stability. This innovative approach leverages sweat equity and addresses root issues of poverty including generational poverty, government regulations, low wages, financial burdens, and lack of appropriate education. This platform of personal responsibility through community accountability is empowering low-income, working poor, and fixed income families to become financially stable without the long-term need for government or charity assistance.

CareNet Counseling East (CNCE) is a community-based behavioral healthcare agency affiliated with Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health which is committed to improving the mental health of their community. CNCE delivers specialized, spiritually-integrated care, education, training, and consultations for a variety of mental health issues through the compassionate presence of professionally trained, state licensed and certified professionals. CNCE’s mission is to ensure everyone in our community has access to counseling services and educational programs regardless of their ability to pay.
